The off-soil GV III flail mower has tines and a pick-up to deal with huge quantities of tendrils. The time taken by the shredded matter to break down can be controlled by the appropriate choice of screens with different diameter holes.
The standard essentials
- 6 working widths available (0.90–2 m)
- Gearbox with free wheel adapted for wine growers’ tractors
- Lifting tines combined with a pick-up feeder
- Mechanical or hydraulic pick-up drive
- Hitch with DDS (Down Stop System) settings storage
- Welded sheet metal lining, 5 mm thick
- 2 swivelling wheels for ground following (fixed wheels on 0.90-m version)
- Cogged screen for fine shredding
- Cover opens for direct access to hammers
- CAT 1 or CAT 2 floating axial hitch
- Chains to follow uneven ground
- Down stop DSS (Down Stop System) keeps optimum setting stored
- 540 or 1000 rpm to be specified
- Mechanical pick-up drive with friction safety or hydraulic drive on request
- Large-dimension rotor – Ø 50-mm shaft, Ø 160-mm tube rotor
• Fixed wheels (0,90 m) or semi-swivelling wheels
A Ø 160-mm roller can be fitted instead of wheels for use on uneven ground.
- Rugged body structure, 10 mm thick
(5-mm body base + 5-mm welded sheet metal lining as standard) - Forestry type counter-blades for high quality shredding
